Gathering Evidence

I was channel surfing the other day and clicked on the “Guide” to see it there was anything interesting in the evening line-up.  The local CBS affiliate was scheduled to broadcast an episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” titled “House of Hoarders.”  The program description was listed as follows:  “Hoarder becomes a murder suspect after a dead body is found in her piles.”

Think about that for a second—if you have to.

Talk about a thorough investigation!  I broke out in a roar of laughter, nearly doubling over in the process.  I was laughing so hard and for so long that the dog and cat came running to find out what was the matter with me.  Staring at me wide-eyed they looked a little worried, as if wondering if someone should call for the guys in the white coats with the nets.  They must have thought I had gone bonkers for sure.

When I had recovered enough to click the “Info” button again I saw the extended program description.  It ended “. . . her piles of trash.”  I think the “Guide” editor must have decided to have a little fun with the program description.  For that I say “Thanks” for the best laugh I’ve had in days.
